Incredibly talented musician, comic and actor. Hinge and Bracket were utterly believable. They were my childhood introduction to Gilbert and Sullivan, and mannerisms so like my great aunts. We were watching Dear Ladies for the last couple of weeks (thank you Paul for making the dvd possible) when the news of George’s death broke. It felt like we had lost a house guest. My favourite moment is 1976 Good Old Days when the audience sings Keep the Home Fires Burning. Patrick turns away from the audience possibly to contain emotions, and shares a look with George.
